TASTING NOTES

As if you’re looking at the night sky admiring the constellations in all their glory, this wine captures all the character and complexity of the Sonoma Coast. Fresh with notes of raspberry, cherry, and violets wrapped around hints of white pepper, sarsaparilla, and lightly toasted oak. This wine is vibrant and exceedingly versatile with a light, clean finish that leaves you wanting more.

VINEYARD NOTES

Sourced from the “Vulcan Ridge”, Summer Dreams Wine Estate and Annapolis vineyards, each hillside site is chosen for the generous slope, unique sequence of Goldridge soils, ranging from 900 – 1900 feet above sea level, and microclimate to add dimension to the wines. A rare, fine-grained sandy loam, Goldridge soils are known for excellent drainage, and a characteristically light and fluffy texture. Some of the particularly unique sites have Goldridge layered on top of ancient seabed where finding fossils in the soil is not unusual and a clay content that helps the soil retain precious moisture during the growing season. The coastal climate of the region is marked by warm, dry summers and cool, damp winters.
