Winemaker Notes

Ripe plum, cherry, and red currant aromas are complemented by elegant undertones of bay leaf and cedar. An abundance of juicy red fruit flavors entice the palate with beautifully integrated layers of fresh herbs followed by cracked pepper and baking spice on the finish. Lush tannins and bright acidity make this a wine to enjoy now and for years to come.

Blend: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc

Our vineyard has been certified Napa Green Land since 2006. The Napa Green Land program involves a comprehensive evaluation of farming practices with a particular emphasis on protecting fragile riparian areas. In July of 2009, we became just the 15th winery in the Napa Valley to be certified a Napa Green Winery, and in 2012 we were awarded the International Award of Excellence in Sustainable Winegrowing by the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT®).
