Bud break and flowering were slightly later than usual, but coincided with ideal weather conditions for healthy fruit set. The mild summer was followed by an equally ideal fall; allowing fruit to ripen with ample flavor and complexity with moderate sugar levels.
Supple red berry and tart cherry aromas on the nose develop into savory spices, cocoa and black plum flavors as they coat the palate. A textural experience, this wine is vibrant on the tongue with undulating flavors of raspberry jam, dusty minerality and vanilla lead to a powerful finish.
