Tasting Notes:

River Rock Vineyard Grenache is high-toned, with gorgeous strawberry and raspberry across the palate balanced by exotic spice notes. River Rock Vineyard, in comparison with our Rockgarden Estate, has smaller cobblestones with more soil on the surface. This results in a wine with a different expression of fruit.

About Pasxa:

The name “PÁŠXA” (pronounced “PAH-sha”) pays tribute to the original inhabitants of this land.

Long before European settlers etched the name “Walla Walla” onto their maps, this fertile valley was a vibrant hub and welcoming winter village for the Cayuse and Walla Walla people. They called this land Pášxapa, which translates to “the place of the Balsamroot Sunflower,” due to the hearty, beautiful flowers that blanketed the valley in the warm months. The natural beauty of the land has always defined this region, and we honor that with the name PÁŠXA, and the Balsam Root Sunflower embossed on each of our hand-affixed labels.

Our wines are truly “made in the vineyard,” with careful attention to soil health, vine management, and sustainable farming practices that allow the vines to thrive in this distinctive landscape.

In the cellar, we preserve the purity of the vineyard through low-intervention methods and innovative techniques. Using concrete fermenters, large neutral oak vessels, and a slow, reductive fermentation process, we ensure each bottle reflects the authenticity of this place.

What emerges is an ethereal new style from The Rocks District—elevated and intentional. We produce small lots of Rhône varieties that are expressive and thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the unique character of this remarkable region.
