About Domaine Bernard Delagrange

Having become owners of vineyards from the 11th century, the Monks of Cîteaux settled in Meursault (21 Côte d’Or, Burgundy) where they harvested white wine for mass.

We don’t know who built the buildings of Domaine Bernard DELAGRANGE & Fils, ex Domaine Lobot de la Barre, but we do know that in the 15th century, a Lobot, private doctor to Duke Charles the Bold, lived there. These Lobots, a branch of which had come to settle in Burgundy, were, like the Duke’s mother, originally from Portugal.

The cellars, which already housed the wines of the Duchy of Burgundy in the 15th century, have the particularity of being on two floors, an architecture quite rare in Côte-d’Or since there are only 13 of its kind.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard DELAGRANGE, winegrowers in Volnay from father to son for several generations (after the Revolution in 1792), set up their farm and their home in Meursault in 1972. Bernard DELAGRANGE knew how to recreate a set of perfectly harmonious buildings, the residence main, the outbuildings and the cellars enclosing a very nicely flowered courtyard, helped by his son Philippe and his grandson Alban who ensure continuity in this remarkable ensemble. Owner-operator from father to son for several generations, having the love of their profession in the respect of traditions, the Bernard DELAGRANGE et Fils family has therefore endeavored to present you with quality products from a region that is already world famous. for centuries.
