Winemaker Notes

All fruit is manually harvested and pressed in Verzé, and was farmed biodynamically. The resulting wine is that of great purity, with both floral and mineral notes, which gives off a lot of energy and liveliness.

About Domaines Leflaive

Founded in 1717, Domaine Leflaive has developed a remarkable history throughout generations of the Leflaive family as producers striving to link tradition and innovation. With an astounding 40 ha to their name, the domaine has acquired parcels in four of the five Montrachet grand crus and four of the best premier crus. Beyond just the impeccable pedigree of its vineyard sites and biodynamic practices, the skill and care of the winemaking at Domaine Leflaive distinguishes it from the rest. The combination of these efforts has produced remarkable results, further elevating the standard for one of the world’s greatest wines. “The fabulous expression of the Chardonnay is far from being limited to Puligny-Montrachet. This is why, we decided to develop an extension of our estate in the Maconnais. We also decided in the last few years to develop partnerships with carefully selected vignerons in the Cote Chalonnaise and the Cote de Beaune. In our Macon vineyard, we apply the same philosophy of the Domaine and all our vines are worked in biodynamically, by our dedicated team. The harvest is manual and the musts transported to Puligny-Montrachet for fermentations and élevage in a specific cellar. The wines are located in Macon-Verzé, Macon-Solutré, Pouilly-Fuissé and are sold under the brand name ‘Domaines Leflaive’. In order to distinguish between Domaine Leflaive in Puligny Montrachet and the Domaines Leflaive in Macon and for long-term partnerships, we have created a specific identity that draws on our common history “
