About Andrian

The only thing that is truly constant is change, a certainty that is worth even more to Andriano. Here we have always been used to not being carried away by the trends of the moment, but to actively take control of our future. In 1893, the Andriano winemakers had the courage to join forces by founding the first social winery in South Tyrol and the then Austro-Hungarian Empire. 115 years later, in 2008, they took another historic decision, signing an alliance with the renowned Cantina di Terlano, located on the other side of the Adige valley.

Today, the two wineries treasure each from the merits and from the other, but retaining their own specificities unaltered. The Cantina di Andriano, in fact, even after the merger has kept intact the potential of its terroir, and its historical achievements remain just as intangible, for example that Lagrein that it was here, for the first time, that it was decided to refine in barrique.

The rigor of constant qualitative improvement, and the ability to best interpret each terroir – two factors that have already made Cantina di Terlano a winner – have given a further boost to the growth of the Cantina di Andriano, which today looks to the future with more enthusiasm. , proud of its identity and quality. These two elements arise from a typically calcareous terroir, a completely different microclimate from that of Terlano, and vines that are perfectly reconciled with these parameters.

For all these reasons, today every glass of our wines can narrate, with its flavors and aromas, the inimitable peculiarities of the Andriano vineyards.
