The nose is dark and earthy, with notes of blackberry, bramble, and baking spice. The palate is structured by fine-grain tannins that lift vibrant red fruit flavors through the finish. Aromas of ripe, fresh, mixed cherries and a gentle, stony-mineral edge. This has really impressive depth and structure with such ripe and pure aromas of, red to dark cherries, making a very juicy impression on the long, fresh and flavorful palate.

About Stoller Winery
We produce elegant wines that reflect the individuality of our site as well as our place within the Dundee Hills.Our Pinot Noirs are beautifully textured, expressing a combination of bright red fruit, earth, spice, and silky, fine-grain tannins and balanced acidity that will help the wines age for many years to come. The elements of our site all combine to create the perfect conditions for growing cool-climate wine grapes.
Harvest
The Oregon harvest typically starts at the end of September. The grapes are hand-picked in the early morning hours before the autumn sun has a chance to warm the vineyard. Using small, sharp bypass pruners, the vineyard crew clips and places clusters into 5-gallon picking buckets, which are then loaded into bins and transported to the winery. The picked fruit enters the winery during the cool morning hours; if needed, it is stored in our cooling room to reach the desired temperature before it is processed.
Pinot Noir
Our Pinot Noir grapes get the royal treatment. Each cluster goes through our sorting line, where several people remove any unwanted material and grape clusters. Next, the grapes pass through our destemmer, which sits on a trolley directly above the fermentation tanks. The whole grape berries then go into these tanks, where they remain at cool temperatures for up to 10 days. This cold soak process is a style choice that facilitates color and flavor extraction before the production of alcohol. The fermentation usually takes five to seven days, at which point we press the wine.
