Geographic description

Vosne is said to be derived from Vidumos, which means “Forest”. It is said that Caesar rewarded the Gauls, who had been signed up to serve him for twenty years, with a gift of vineyards that subsequent generations named I. Vosne appears as Vanoa in a tract written around 636-650.

Geological description

Two complementary terroirs unite themselves in this wine sublime expression of Pinot Noir. The soils are calcareous marl mixed with clay to a depth that varies from tens of centimeters to 1 meter. Exposure of these two plots is rising.

A harmonious wine of great nobility that can be enjoyed with game such as a deer hen with morels.

 Michel Magnien represents the fourth generation of wine growers of the Magnien family. From a very young age, he worked on the vineyard of his father, Bernard Magnien (third generation) owner of 4 hectares of vines.

 Since 2008, the Domaine has adapted a completely organic viticulture and respected the certification process controlled by Ecocert in order to produce authentic wines and preserve the environment for our children’s future.
