Tasting Notes

Purple/black in colour, it proffers a nose of pain grille, graphite, earth notes, spice box, black fruits, and a hint of balsamic.
It opens in the glass to reveal excellent density, savory flavors, plenty of spice, and a lengthy, pure finis. It will evolve well for
2-3 years and drink well for many years. Mainly produced with grapes from very old Monastrell vineyars of low yield, as the Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah vines planted at about 700 meters of altitude, this is a very concentrated, complex and elegant wine, kept for 18 months in French and American oak barrels .

FOOD PAIRINGS
Rice, pasta, (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), vegetables, mushroom, stewed meat, sausage, pork, roast meat, red and/or white meat with sauces, grilled meat, short or medium-cured cheeses.

Four generations, one name

Since 1916, when Juan Gil Jiménez had the winery built, only one clear idea has moved the following generations in charge of the same:

Doing a good job and being prideful of the Juan Gil name and commercial trademark.

Juan Gil Guerrero, a founder’s son, firstly, and then his grandson Juan Gil González, improved and consolidated the winery, applied the traditional knowledge of their job transmitted from parents to children. Nowadays, the fourth generation, linking the tradition with the technical revolution, is the one that enjoys the result of the work done by the predecessors.
