Tasting Notes

Toasty oak wraps around dark fruits, graphite and sagebrush tones on this expressive nose. The palate is plush, round and inviting, delivering copious dark fruit flavors that collide wit the milk chocolate, sagebrush, cherry tomato and dusty minerals. This is exceedingly good, highly viscous and gratifying wine now as the ‘Alluvio’ will provide drinking enjoyment for a decade or more.

Blend: 60% Cabernet Franc with 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Petit Verdot

About Force Majeure

Our wines are painstakingly hand-crafted to be pure examples of the varietals and site from which they are made. The extraordinary character of our wines is possible, in part, thanks to the prodigious terroir of our estate vineyard on the steep upper slopes of Red Mountain. The low vigor, diverse soil composition, and varied aspects and elevations support the genesis of compelling fruit, resulting in exceptional wines that are powerful without being overbearing, elegant without being frail, and rich without being clumsy.

Due to the limited size of our vineyard, the low yields and our “micro-block” format, the wines are available in very limited production and may be purchased during Spring and Fall releases.

Made utilizing meticulously farmed grapes from the estate vineyard on Red Mountain, these Washington State wines receive the same care and attention in both winemaking and viticulture as the upper-tier Force Majeure wines. Our goal with Parabellum is to produce two beautiful and approachable wines that are reflective of their varieties and terroir, without constraints on blending. These wines will age gracefully for years, yet are crafted with an eye toward more immediate consumption. Parabellum provides an opportunity to savor an authentic wine of distinction at a great value.
